Arnica is a genus of perennial, herbaceous plants in the sunflower family. The genus name Arnica may be derived from the Greek arni, "lamb", in reference to the plants' soft, hairy leaves. Arnica is an herb that is also known as Arnica root, Common Arnica, Mountain Arnica, Mountain tobacco, wolf’s bane, leopard’s bane. Arnica flower has been used for medical purposes since the 1500’s.Arnica is best known for its properties to prevent bruising and helps them heal. Also, known for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities by stimulating blood circulation and it may raise blood pressure. Take arnica by mouth for sore mouth and throat, pain such as pain after surgery or wisdom tooth removal. Helps sunburn, acne, eczema, chapped lips, ulcers, insect bites, painful and swollen veins near the surface of the skin (superficial phlebitis), muscle pain & cartilage pain.
